All performances have been created to specifically to support Early Years and Key Stage One Curriculum.
Traditional tales are presented in a theatrical puppet performance, certain to make a thrilling and very memorable experience for children (and the grown ups)
How does this show support Early Years and Key Stage One curriculum?
We all appreciate how important Traditional Tales are for children, my shows serve to reinforce story structure in an exceptionally memorable and interactive way. The uniqueness of the experience is very impactful and therefore extremely helpful in giving children the confidence to be very familiar with, understand and re-tell traditional tales.
There are many opportunities for interaction whilst also encouraging the children to listen and respond appropriately, helping them to maintain attention. The show is a good introduction to theatre and drama and supports the children’s development of spoken language and vocabulary.
The show itself is aimed at the age of the children present. It is always engaging, exciting and action packed.
After the show is finished, all children can be invited to look at and handle the puppets.
For older children, I can give them a look inside the booth. The cover comes off leaving the skeleton frame with everything inside in full view. I can show the children where I stand to perform, and how I get the puppets into the right places at the right speed. This is an fantastic experience to spark interest in drama and inspire children to act out familiar stories, or their own creations.
Additional learning resources to accompany the show are also available to further enrich the learning experience for the children.
